2. What Data Do We Collect?

Geldtracker stores the following data exclusively on your device:

Transactions (income and expenses)
Categories
Recurring payments
Savings goals
Budgets
App settings

When using the group feature, the following additional data is stored in your iCloud account (Apple CloudKit):

Your iCloud user ID
Display name in the group
Profile picture (optional)
Group transactions and balances
Group name and invite code

3. Local Data Storage

Your personal financial data is stored exclusively on your device. We have no access to this data.

Passwords are securely stored in the iOS Keychain and are protected by the operating system.

4. iCloud Services

When you use the group feature, we use Apple iCloud (CloudKit):

iCloud Authentication: Your Apple ID is used for identification
CloudKit: For synchronizing group data between devices

Your data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

5. Backup & Export

You can export your data as a JSON file at any time. This file contains all your local transactions and settings.

The exported file is not encrypted. Please store it securely.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the following rights regarding your data:

Right of access: You can view all your data at any time via the export function
Right to erasure: You can delete your data at any time in the settings
Right to data portability: Use the backup function to export
Right to object: You can disable the group feature at any time

7. No Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell or share your data with third parties. When using the group feature, data is stored in your iCloud account and is only visible to group members.

8. No Tracking or Advertising

This app does not use tracking services and does not display advertising. We do not collect usage statistics.

9. Changes

This privacy policy may be updated occasionally. You can always find the current version in the app and on this website.
